I hoarded this fabric for years.

I bought a little here

and a little there.

 

Next thing I know I have two huge bags full.

I have one more center panel and lots of

little panels left over.

 

I am still working on the binding of one and the other

has gone to live with my Mother.

 

Maybe by next Christmas I will have used

them all.

 

Who am I kidding?

A New Banner -

 

Gladys & Abner is my little Etsy shop

that is associated with this blog.

 

I needed a 200x200 banner to put on another

 blog for sponsorship. I am not computer

savvy in any way - shape - or form!

 

I made this on photobucket.

It probably looks like it too.

It will work for now but I am always

up for some good advice on such matters.

 

I am currently working on the binding

of the two Christmas Quilts.

This post was just to distract you from

the fact that I haven't finished yet.

Binding On The Bias

 

I wanted the stripe to be on the diagonal.

I have never made biased binding before.

I cut the fabric.

I sewed the pieces together.

I made enough binding for every Christmas Quilt

made in the state of California!

 

What?

 

Should I have asked a friend before beginning?

Maybe

 

Should I have done the math first?

Possibly

 

Did my binding work?

Absolutely!

I bought a few faces off of the Urban Threads embroidery site.

Little Man J took a liking to the pink monster.

I let him have it.

His Mom didn't like that it was pink.

Why can't a boy have a pink monster?

Stupid Stereotypes!

Shorty loved Matchbox cars.

She always had a pile laying around

and she turned out just fine.

Let the kid have the doll.
